After thirty years in the restaurant business and successfully making her mark of serving good quality food in the heart of Portland, Oregon, Sue Gee Lehn has expanded her dream of bringing her sauces and spices to customers everywhere. Sue Gee’s sauces and spices are FLAVORFUL, BOLD, and just a tad SWEET, and have been a staple item in her family’s kitchen and restaurant since 1992. Sue Gee is the owner of Cameo Cafe, located in NE Portland, Oregon where you can enjoy her sauces and spices and family recipes. After coming to the USA from Seoul, South Korea and starting the Cameo Cafe, she regularly craved the spicy flavor foods from her own country. To quelch these cravings, she created spicy and flavorful sauces to incorporate in daily meals. Friends and customers at the restaurant began to ask what sauces she was using and eating with, and after they tried it, loved it, and continued to ask for it upon returning to the Cameo Cafe. Sue Gee decided to make larger batches and provide her sauces, spices, and kim chi as regular condiments in her cafe and has now marketed more broadly here in the United States.
Sue Gee’s mission is simple yet clear: To create simple good food products that everyone can truly enjoy. She wants to infuse the spices she loves with the sweetness of life every day. The gift of giving, love, positive energy, and flavorful and bold flavors are what make these sauces full of life, and she hopes they will spice up your life after tasting them. From a very basic level, she wants to be able to share her passion and love for life with great tasting flavorful foods with you. Sue Gee’s philosophy is to be a gracious host, appreciative for those who join her family for a meal or enjoy her sauces and spices, and to provide good value for delicious food and often a hug and conversation that leaves you feeling like you just gained a lifelong friend. GENEROSITY is huge with Sue Gee and her dynamic, and sometimes even eccentric nature is what makes her, the Cameo, and her sauces and spices truly unique.
